Such a funny experience the other day at the Atrium… I get there to help change the room from dinner to reception and can’t help but notice two videographers, wait no, three videographers? I’ve heard of having one but maybe this couple did not want miss ANYTHING from their wedding. I go back to the kitchen and there are about a dozen more “video” people, what the heck, this must be one rich couple to afford all these people!
After watching these people for a good hour or so, I whispered to my boss, “These people aren’t from around here are they?”
She laughed and said, “No, they’re from New York!”
“Whoa.” I said, “The wedding couple flew all these guys out here to little ol’ Rexburg?”
My boss laughed again. What was so funny? “There from TLC’s 90 Day Fiance, didn’t I tell you?!”
“NO you didn’t tell me! That explains a lot then!” I finally got it.
Turns out the bride was from Russia, they applied for the show (which helped her visa come faster, nice) and viola, they got married in 90 days!
Why don’t I ever think to apply for these shows? I think the show that would fit my life’s next big event would be to buy a house, I’m thinking, HGTV’s “House Hunters,” or “Property Virgins,” or “Property Brothers (those twins!)”
Anyways, when you watch the show, be sure to look for me in a polka dot shirt running around busing tables, which normally we are not responsible for but it was such a mad house that night I needed to!
