After my second baby, I have been on the journey of getting back into shape. After recently completing 12 weeks of Kayla Itsine’s Bikini Body Guide (BBG) I had an amzing opportunity to collaborate with my talented friend Whitney (Whitney Marie Photography) and with my favorite acitvewear company, Senita Athletics!
A huge thanks to both Whitney and Senita because part of my health journey has also been to work on self acceptance at every stage and to build confidence! This photo shoot was so fun and such a great experience for me!
Something I also learned in those 12 weeks, is that there is a secret about motivating yourself to work out… It’s called, dressing the part. Seriously! If you are wearing comfortable and fashionable activewear, chances are that you may be more likely be motivated to work out, at least that’s how it works for me.
For one thing, these capri’s hold and support my torso, so I don’t feel self conscious. And the absolute best part is that they have pockets, yes, pockets! I am constantly pulling out my phone to look at my running app or change songs, so pockets are much better for me than phone arm bands. A lot of Senita’s bottoms actually have these pockets, even their shorts! My phone is extremely snug inside the pockets and does not move around when I run.
A good workout tee is hard for me to find, it has to be lightweight, a decent neckline, soft and loose in the torso. The Shaka Tee’s are just that! They specifically make these shirts a little longer for a little extra coverage too, which is so nice.
If you haven’t looked up their website by now, check it out! Senita was created by two sisters/moms/athletes whose mission is to create affordable activewear. As a Mom who loves a great deal, I am in huge support of this company and what they stand for!
